Itinerary

Kathmandu (1N) → Nepalgunj (1N) → Taklakot (2N) → Manasarovar Guesthouse (1N) → Darchen (1N) → Dirapuk (1N)→ Zuthulpuk (1N) → Hilsa / Simikot (1N) → Nepalgunj (1N) → Kathmandu (1N)

Day 1 | Arrival – Kathmandu (1,324m)

Meet & greet at airport ➜ hotel transfer ➜ Yatra briefing & document verification Evening visit to Pashupatinath for darshan & aarti — considered the spiritual starting blessing for Kailash pilgrims
Overnight: Kathmandu

Day 2 | Fly to Nepalgunj (150m)

Short scenic flight to Indo-Nepal border town Medical check, baggage sorting & preparation for high-altitude region
Rest & hydration day before entering Himalayas sector
Overnight: Nepalgunj

Day 3 | Nepalgunj → Simikot → Hilsa → Taklakot (Purang) (3,930m)

Mountain flight to Simikot ➜ helicopter to Hilsa border ➜ immigration formalities ➜ drive into Tibet
First experience of Tibetan plateau landscape & thin air altitude
Overnight: Taklakot

Day 4 | Acclimatization & Health Adaptation

Body adjustment day (very important for safe Kailash Yatra)
Short walk, oxygen level monitoring & medicine guidance
Overnight: Taklakot

Day 5 | Drive to Lake Manasarovar (4,590m)

Journey across vast Tibetan plateau to the most sacred lake in Hinduism & Buddhism Holy snan (bath), meditation & Rudra Abhishek by the lake shore
First darshan of Mount Kailash from distance (weather permitting)
Overnight: Manasarovar Guesthouse

Day 6 | Manasarovar Puja → Darchen (4,575m)

Morning sunrise prayers at the lake — believed to wash away lifetimes of karma
Drive to Darchen (base camp of Kailash Parikrama)
Trek preparation, porter & pony arrangements
Overnight: Darchen

Mount Kailash Parikrama (3 Days Spiritual Trek)
Day 7 | Parikrama Day 1 – Dirapuk (13 km)

Start sacred circumambulation of Mount Kailash
Closest darshan of North Face — most powerful spiritual sight of the Yatra
Overnight: Dirapuk Guesthouse (4,900m)

Day 8 | Parikrama Day 2 – Dolma La Pass (22 km)

Cross the highest point Dolma La Pass
Visit sacred Gauri Kund symbolizing rebirth & purification
Most challenging but spiritually rewarding day
Overnight: Zuthulpuk Guesthou

Day 9 | Parikrama Completion – Return to Hilsa/Simikot

Complete final trek ➜ drive to border ➜ helicopter transfer
Pilgrims traditionally believe completing Kora equals liberation from past karmas
Overnight: Hilsa / Simiko

Day 10 | Return to Nepalgunj

Helicopter to Simikot ➜ flight to Nepalgunj Rest & recovery from high altitude
Overnight: Nepalgunj

Day 11 | Fly back to Kathmandu

Free time for shopping, temple visits & relaxation
Yatra completion thanksgiving prayers
Overnight: Kathmand

Day 12 | Departure

Airport transfer with blessings & divine memories
