Itinerary

Thimphu (2N) → Paro (2N)

Day 01: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

Distance: 55 km | ⏱ Drive: 1.5 hrs

Arrive at Paro Airport where you will be warmly welcomed with a traditional Tashi Khaddar (white ceremonial scarf).

Proceed on a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital city. En route, stop at Chuzom Confluence, where the Paro Chu and Thimphu Chu rivers meet, adorned with Tibetan, Nepalese, and Bhutanese stupas.

Evening free to explore Thimphu’s main street

Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing & Nature Trail

After breakfast, visit Buddha Dordenma at Buddha Point, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, offering panoramic views of Thimphu Valley.

Enjoy an easy Buddha Nature Trail hike through pine forests and prayer flags leading to Changangkha Lhakhang.

Later explore:

🏛 Simply Bhutan Museum – Experience traditional Bhutanese lifestyle
🏟 Changlimithang Stadium – Witness Bhutan’s archery culture

End the day with a visit to Tashichho Dzong, the fortress housing the King’s throne room and government offices.

Day 03: Thimphu to Paro

After breakfast, drive to Paro.

En route visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan, now home to a Buddhist studies institute.

After explore:
🏛 Ta Dzong National Museum – Showcasing Bhutanese art, artifacts, and history
Rinpung Dzong – Historic fortress known as the “Fortress of the Heap of Jewels”

Overnight stay in Paro

Day 04: Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Excursion

After breakfast, embark on the highlight of the trip – a hike to the legendary Paro Taktsang, perched dramatically 610 meters above Paro Valley.

Option to hike or take a pony ride (pay directly).

After visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples built in the 7th century by Songtsen Gampo.

Day 05: Departure from Paro

After breakfast, transfer to Paro
International Airport for your onward flight, carrying unforgettable memories of the Land of the Thunder Dragon.
