Day 01: Bagdogra – Phuentsholing

160 km |⏱ 5 hrs
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport and drive to Phuentsholing, the gateway town to Bhutan.
Meet Bhutanese guide after immigration formalities.
🛍 Evening explore local market and town.
Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 02: Phuentsholing – Thimphu

155 km |⏱ 5 hrs
Drive to Bhutan’s capital Thimphu.
En route visit:
Kharbandi Monastery Chuzom Confluence – meeting of Paro & Thimphu rivers
🛍 Evening walk in Thimphu market & craft bazaar.
Overnight stay in Thimphu

Day 03: Thimphu Sightseeing

Explore the cultural attractions of Thimphu:
National Library of Bhutan
Institute for Zorig Chusum (Traditional Arts School)
Textile Museum 🏛 Simply Bhutan Museum Later visit: Buddha Dordenma (Buddha Point) 🕉 National Memorial Chorten Tashichho Dzong Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 04: Thimphu – Punakha

75 km |⏱ 2.5 hrs Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass famous for 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens and Himalayan views. Visit: Punakha Dzong Punakha Suspension Bridge Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 05: Punakha Exploration

Hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten for panoramic valley views.
Visit:
Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang Nunnery
Chimi Lhakhang – famous fertility temple
Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 06: Punakha – Paro

Drive to Paro via scenic highway.
En route visit
Simtokha Dzong – Bhutan’s oldest fortress
In Paro visit:
🏛 Ta Dzong National Museum
Rinpung Dzong
Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 07: Tiger’s Nest Monastery Excursion

Hike to the iconic Paro Taktsang, Bhutan’s most famous monastery perched on a cliff.
Later visit:
⛩ Kyichu Lhakhang – one of Bhutan’s oldest temples built by Songtsen Gampo.
Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 08: Paro – Phuentsholing

155 km |⏱ 5 hrs
Scenic drive back to Phuentsholing.
Evening free for leisure.
Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 09: Phuentsholing – Bagdogra Departure

160 km |⏱ 5 hrs
After immigration formalities transfer to Bagdogra Airport for onward flight.
