Itinerary

Kandy (1N) → Nuwara Eliya (2N) → Colombo (1N)

Day 01 – Airport ➝ Chillaw ➝ Kandy

Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport with warm welcome.

Drive via Chillaw – Ramayana Trail begins:
• Munneswaram Temple – ancient Shiva temple believed to be visited by Lord Rama after defeating Ravana
• Manavari Temple – site where Lord Rama installed the first Shiva Lingam (Ramalingam) to remove Brahma Dosha

Continue to Kandy (cultural capital of Sri Lanka)

Evening:
• Visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic – UNESCO site housing Buddha’s sacred tooth relic

Overnight stay in Kandy

Day 02 – Kandy ➝ Nuwara Eliya (Approx. 2.5 hrs)

Breakfast at hotel

En route visits:

• Peradeniya Botanical Gardens – 147-acre garden with orchids, spices & rare flora
• Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple Ramboda – believed resting place of Lord Hanuman during search for Sita

Scenic hill drive to Nuwara Eliya (called Little England)
Experience tea plantations, cool climate & colonial charm

Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya

Day 03 – Nuwara Eliya (Ramayana Exploration)

Breakfast at hotel

Visit key Ramayana sites:

• Seetha Amman Temple – believed location where Sita was held captive
• Divurumpola Temple – site of Sita’s Agni Pariksha (trial by fire)

Excursion to Ella:

• Ravana Falls – associated with King Ravana
• Ravana Cave (legendary hideout of Ravana)

Evening:

• Gayathri Peedam – spiritual site linked to Ramayana worship

Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya

Day 04 – Nuwara Eliya ➝ Colombo (Approx. 4.5 hrs)

Breakfast at hotel

Drive to Colombo via Kitulgala (famous for rainforest & river adventures)

Colombo City Tour (commercial capital):

• Galle Face Green – oceanfront promenade
• Viharamahadevi Park – largest park in city
• National Museum of Colombo – rich Sri Lankan history
• Independence Square – symbol of independence

Shopping Experience:

• ODEL
• House of Fashion / local markets

Overnight stay in Colombo

Day 05 – Colombo ➝ Departure

Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport
